Continuing with the study of President Bush and President Ahmadinejad let’s look at how these two look at reality. The trait here is the proportions between the inner ear circle and the outer ear circle.

Large inner ear circles mark sensitive people and large outer ear circles mark practical people. Both President Bush and President Ahmadinejad have comparatively large outer ear circles revealing a talent for dealing with every day events on a more practical level rather than a sensitive level.

Both people have a clearly defined border between the inner ear circle and the outer ear circle. This is a marker for keeping their inner thoughts and observations in perspective with the outer world around them. The problem here is that an observer doesn’t really know what the inner thoughts and observations are. One can assume from their actions, but one doesn’t really know.

I thought it would be interesting to compare the face reading of President Bush with a reading of President Ahmadinejad of Iran since they seem to be at odds with each other on the world stage. I did an analysis of the eyebrow last, so let’s look at the ears.

Everyone has an amount of information that they are comfortable taking in at one time. Those with long ears have loads of listening ability. They can soak information fast – and lots of it. Those with short ears might not take in as much information, but the information they do take in is important to them. They can easily become overloaded but they can use the information very effectively.

President Bush and President Ahmadinejad both qualify for the long ear category but President Ahmadinejad has longer ears comparatively. Both President Bush and President Ahmadinejad can take in lots of information quickly but President Ahmadinejad is probably a little quicker.

Ears can be mounted high on the head and low. It’s amazing the variety. High ear people process information fast. Low ear people evaluate information completely before using it. Both President Bush and President Ahmadinejad have low mounted ears. They will evaluate information at length before making a decision, but once the decision is made, that’s it. There is no second guessing and no turning back.

The amount the ear flares out from the head is an indication of how one will deal with social conformity. Both President Bush and President Ahmadinejad show an ability to think and act “outside the box” but not to an extreme.

Tune in for the next installment. I’ll talk about how President Bush and President Ahmadinejad approach reality.

Eyebrows.

I thought it would be interesting to compare the face reading of President Bush with a reading of President Ahmadinejad of Iran since they seem to be at odds with each other on the world stage. I’ll start with the eyebrow.

The distribution of hair in an eyebrow will show us the flow of enthusiasm when the owner takes on a new project. Eyebrows are thought of as beginning near the center of the face and ending at the outside of the face, so if there is a lot of hair at the beginning, the person will be one who is quick to take on a new project. Many people have eyebrows that thin out half way to the end and Rose Rosetree in her book The Power of Face Reading points out that such a person will typically lose interest half way through a project. Find a photo of G. W. Bush and you can see that he has an eyebrow trait of quick enthusiasm for projects but starting to cool, (at least somewhat), about half way through. On the other hand, notice Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. He has almost the same trait except his enthusiasm would typically last somewhat longer.

In the persistence category I would give President Ahmadinejad a slight edge of President Bush, but not by much.

The amount of hair in the eyebrow is an indication of the amount of details a person can handle at a time. Lots of hair indicates a person that can think of lots of things at the same time and keep it all straight. Low hair density indicates a person that does better with simplicity but can be very intense.

In the “handling details” category I would definitely give the edge to President Ahmadinejad although President Bush is no slouch here either. President Bush probably has the ability to develop more intensity even though President Ahmadinejad’s overall facial appearance appears more intense. This is a good example of how face reading can sort out subtle personally details.

Both show an eyebrow shape that indicates managerial detachment and a talent for intellectual curiosity. The slight angle in President Bush’s left brow and both brows of President Ahmadinejad indicate that managerial detachment shown by many people in supervisorial role.

Both have straightness to their brow shape that indicates dealing with life with logic and ideas. Neither have a curve to their brows that would indicate dealing with life with feelings.
President Bush has brows that are mounted low meaning that he is compelled to talk about his ideas. President Ahmadinejad has brows that are mid-mounted indicating that he will talk about his ideas but, emotionally, he can choose the time and place.

Both have hair in their brows that is in an even flow from beginning to end meaning that their thoughts flow smoothly without contradiction or spurious side issues. In other words, these two people are straight-ahead types.

Both men show start-up hair, President Bush a large amount on his left brow – his private side – and President Ahmadinejad a small amount on his right side – his public side. This would indicate both men have intellectual thoughts and ideas about a new project at a very early stage … earlier that most people around them.

This week (the February 19, 2007 edition) Newsweek magazine has President Bush and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on the front cover. I talked about President Bush’s eyebrows before and how his eyebrows show a personality that is a self-starter and jump’s into a situation very quickly.

Here’s what I said in my previous blog about President Bush:

“Bush not only has a lot of hair at the beginning of his eyebrows, there is an extra large amount of hair at the beginning and it’s elevated above the rest of the eyebrow. This is every unusual and is a marker for people who jump - very quickly - into a situation or project by forming ideas about how to proceed very early on. Bush’s brows are so extreme in this regard that we could say that he jumps to conclusions. Once he makes the leap he has the persistence to stick to that original conclusion. Further, he as the managerial detachment to stay the course even though the evolution of events might indicate that he should make some adjustments.”

Now Newsweek magazine gives us a good look at the eyebrow I was talking about. It’s his left eyebrow implying that this is the way he thinks internally - the part of his personality you don’t see.

However, look at Ahmadinejad! He has the same eyebrow type only more so. He is very quick to get started (large about of hair at the beginning) and very persistent (dense about of hair out to the end). It’s his right eyebrow we see on the cover photo implying that this is his public personality - the part you do see.

There’s a lot more information available from these photos. Check back.

I watched the State Of The Union address by President Bush last week. I didn’t intend to but happened to walk through the room when it came on and happened to notice something that I’ve missed before. Bush’s eyebrows. I knew he had eyebrows and I knew that they were a bit unusual but never took the time to study them.

In face reading, the eyebrows a marker for how someone thinks, or more exact, how one uses their thinking.

Angled eyebrows, (the ones that look like tents), show detachment and are usually found on people who are good at supervising, or at least think they’re good at supervising.

Straight eyebrows are found on people who deal with life from the stand point of ideas.

Curved eyebrows are found on people who deal with life from the stand point of emotions. There’s a lot more to it, however.

For instance, People who have a lot of hair all the way at the end - that part farthest from the center of the face - will get into a project and stick with it to the end - meaning lots of persistence. Bush shows this marker. In the middle of the eyebrows, Bush has the tent formation of the angled eyebrow. This shows managerial detachment. People with eyebrows that have a lot of hair in the eyebrow nearest the center of the face are quick to get into a situation or project. Bush has this marker also … but here’s the key to Bush’s thinking.

Bush not only has a lot of hair at the beginning of his eyebrows, there is an extra large amount of hair at the beginning and it’s elevated above the rest of the eyebrow. Further, he as the managerial detachment to stay the course even though the evolution of events might indicate that he should make some adjustments.

Such is the power of face reading.

There’s even more about eyebrows, but that’s for later. It will be interesting to see what kind of eyebrows run for office next year.

So I was watching the NFL playoffs not really caring who won. I was in it for the entertainment, but I remember one vivid picture in the middle of one of the games. It was a pass play and the receiver had faked out the defending player quite neatly and came back up field making him wide open. The quarterback spotted him and threw the pass. It was perfect: waist high – directly into the receiver’s hands … but he dropped the ball! Oh man! How could he have done that! I mean, this isn’t just any game. This game is for the right to go to the Super Bowl … and to blow a pass reception like that! I mean wow, wow, and wow.

As the receiver walked back, (I don’t know his name), the TV guys got an extreme close-up of his face. It was a beautiful shot and the most obvious detail was the player’s eyes. His eyes were huge and there was white visible below the iris. This is a marker for stress. There’s a word for it – “sanpaku” meaning three whites. It’s a condition where white shows not only on either side of the iris but below or above the iris also. Rose Rosetree, in her book Wrinkles are God’s Makeup, indicates that sanpaku eyes are a marker for an inferiority complex. I’ve read other places, that sanpaku eyes are also a sign of stress. Do you think this player felt inferior and stressed? Wow, I guess so.

You could certainly think he felt inferior and stressed, given the situation, but what if a co-worker came to work one morning with white showing under the iris. You might guess that he or she is stressed. I saw the sheriff of a small town interviewed the other day on the evening news. He was dealing with some crime that had caught the attention of the national press and the press had descended on this small town. The sheriff was trying to explain that they were doing the best they could but had made little progress in solving the crime – and his eyes showed white under the iris. It was very obvious.

People who show white below the iris deserve some compassion, unless it’s extreme. Then you, depending on the situation and how extreme, might consider avoiding them.

President Bush was traveling somewhere the other day and I saw a photo of him at just the right angle for the light to highlight his jaws. This is the first time I have noticed his jowls. Earlier photos don’t show jowls so I’m assuming that this is a fairly new development for Bush. They’re not large, full blown jowls - just small beginning jowls. Remembering something about jowls in Rose Rosetree’s “Wrinkles Are God’s Makeup” book, I head for bookshelf.

Here’s the book, now let’s see – flip, flip, flip – ah, here it is.

Jowls develop on people who previously had well-padded cheeks which is a marker for support of others. Jowls are a marker for a shift in the balance of power. That is, someone who used to have the support of others but now do not.

We would have to agree that Bush’s popularity has slipped in a big way in the last year or two. Jowls are the marker that he’s feeling it.
