I’m typing “remote viewing” into Google. I hit search and get fifty-one thousand hits. A lot of people have heard of remote viewing, today, but forty years ago that wasn’t the case.

Seems that in the sixties and seventies the cold war had made everyone paranoid and the U. S. gov. heard that the Soviets were experimenting with psychic espionage – “remote viewing” (and it turns out that the Soviets were experimenting with psychic spying). If the Soviets really can use psychics to get secret information then we need it too, or so went the thinking. So, the CIA floated a proposal to various academic institutions to research whether a psychic could be a spy. They were turned down at first. No academic institution wanted to risk their repetition researching psychics … but Stanford (of course) finally said that they would do it. Turns out that psychic spying works, and that discovery probably has changed life on earth as much as the nuclear weapon – maybe more. The U. S. Army actually had a remote viewing (RV) unit for twenty years or so.

Anyway, I had been reading about RV and a 3 or 4 years ago did a Google search out of curiosity. What’s this? Here’s a woman teaching an RV course – and she’s using the military manual (yes, the military actually wrote a manual). Not only that, she did some of the basic research, has a PhD behind her name and lives about 30 miles away. I pick up the phone.

I took her course and when the first RV conference occurred I attended and I’ve been to every one since, except one. The conference for this year was held last weekend and this time I check out the faces. Think about it. Here’s a group of people that have been trained to be intuitive. What sort of face traits would you find among this group?

Well, I found a lot of straight eyebrows, ender eyebrows, close set eyes, short noses, narrow noses, flat chin bottoms and high prominent foreheads.

Straight eyebrows are a marker for people who are more comfortable dealing with ideas in their thinking (rather than feelings).

Ender eyebrows – that is eyebrows that are full all the way across – will be found on people that tend to be very persistent. This trait was prevalent among the academic researchers at this conference.

Close set eyes are a marker for someone who can focus on the details, careful to get them right.

A short nose belongs to people who are good at taking on short range projects and working hard at them.

Narrow noses indicate people who do better working alone. (Something a psychic does.)

Flat chin bottoms are a marker for people who, again, tend to deal with ideas.

High prominent forehead people are thinkers. They like abstract ideas. (The academics had the edge here, too.)

Now, how about a completely different group of people. I wonder what the face traits would be at, say, a casino sports book. I’ll let you know.
